Lego Technic 8865 - My Alternative - Dakar Rally Car
My "Dakar rally car" alternative to the Lego Technic 8865 Test car. I am not at all an experienced builder, and I don't have a technical mind, so I am actually very proud of this. It took me maybe two weeks (a certain amount of hours a day. The last day it was like 10 hours in a row) to build this from only parts that were available in the 8865 model. I didn't use any Stud. io to design anything, nor any software or any Lego instructions. It was just real-life trying, building and constant changing and fitting. There is a suspension that I wanted to be as narrow as possible, therefore, I couldn't fit a differential. The steering works from the steering wheel, and there is an unusual looking two-piston engine (that I am glad that it's working), because I had to use many parts (that would be otherwise used for a bigger engine) for other parts of construction. So it has three functions - suspension, steering, and working engine. There is no differential, moving seats, no working shift lever. The car should be built from 748 parts if I counted that correctly. I didn't really see any alternative builds of 8865 out there (except one guy on UA-cam), so had to try it myself, and I definitely enjoyed the challenge! As I own two 8865 sets, I've put two cars as a comparison. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Lego Technic 8844 - Helicopter

Lego Technic 8844 released in 1981. This model is quite fragile, but it looks nice for the early 80's era. I've also used it with a motor to show some functionality. There is one extra wheel on the rear axle (which is not in the original set), just to make it more stable. Music is made by me.
Lego Technic 8838 - Modified trike - B model

Lego Technic 8838 built as a trike, which is a B model. Of course, I've used some modern parts and 3rd large wheel (in the front), while the original 8838 set contains only two such wheels. I've also used some colourful parts as I like to add some colours to certain "boring" models. Music is made by me.

Lego 8862 built as BM Volvo LM218 Frontloader, which is a great MOC (MOC-144156) designed by "e.hof16" found on Rebrickable. The vehicle should have yellow wheels, but I like the white ones much better, so the yellow ones were left out. Music is made by me.

Vintage Lego Technic 8862 - Backhoe Grader from 1989. I had some parts missing, especially some black parts for the front, so I've made that a bit differently. I also like white wheels much better than the yellow ones, so the yellow ones were left out. Music is made by me.

They can, they can actually see the moon in more detail than us, but most if them are asleep at night so I suppose not.

It is curious that the only spider that can "fully recognize" humans as big size animals, try to behave the most neutral and inquisitive they can around us and other large animals. Eyes are for shure extremely important at the development of some short of "conciousness".

@@Crimson_The_fox My sister and I caught a relatively big one a few days ago, just dropped a plastic box on him ;) It took us half an hour to figure out what to do with him. We didn't want to kill him 'cause animal rights and stuff ;) We managed to release him after all tho. Hope he doesn't come back
